The 13 Most Exciting Games Xbox One Players Will See in 2018

Best Xbox Games of 2018

With the release of Monster Hunter World, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Full Metal Furies, 2018 is shaping up to be a great year for gamers.

Whether you’re downing a tankard of grog on the way to fight some Skellies for that sweet, sweet treasure in Sea of Thieves, or jumping head first into chaos and destructive mayhem to enact super-powered justice in Crackdown 3, Xbox One players will have plenty of action-packed adventures this year.

Get ready to sink your teeth, and time, into these upcoming Xbox One titles.

13. The Last Night

In a neon-drenched 2.5D cyberpunk side-scroller from studio Odd Tales with the help of Raw Fury, players will take on the role of Charlie. Charlie lives in a world dominated by computers, and the “Leisure Era” is in full swing, and life has never been easier.

Except for Charlie. Charlie is a lower class citizen, and as Charlie players will explore the four different city districts, each with its own unique architecture and culture, speak freely with other citizens, get involved in gunfights and there will even be stealth sections.

Put your feet up and let your futuristic robot helper play the game for you once it comes out later in 2018.

12. State of Decay 2

The highly anticipated sequel to Undead Lab’s 2013 hit, State of Decay, State of Decay 2 will once again pit players against both the undead horde, as well as the harsh world they will find themselves in.

Set 15 months after the first game, and sporting three different maps, each one roughly the size of the first game’s single landmass, State of Decay 2 will showcase the most requested feature by fans, Online Co-op. Yes, now you and up to three of your buddies can team up to face the ravenous undead and try to keep your randomly generated survivors, and their communities alive and intact for another day.

Grab your crowbar and load your shotgun, you’ll be facing the zombie horde again sometime in early 2018.

11. The Darwin Project

If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that reality TV in the post-apocalyptic dystopia of the future is brutal. The Darwin Project is both a scientific endeavour in the face of a new, impending Ice Age and also a spectacle of entertainment for the citizens living in the aforementioned dystopia.

A deadly arena in the frigid Northern Canadian Rockies awaits players, where everyone is a hunter, and everyone is the hunted. Up against the cold, other players, and a ruthless Director who has the arena under their control, players will be engaged in an intense survival game show where the grand prize is getting to keep your life.

Polish your axes and smile for the camera, this new prime-time battle royale premiers on the Xbox One and PC via Microsoft’s Play Anywhere sometime in the first quarter of 2018.
